City of Brighton recently issued the following announcement.

The Mayor of the City of Brighton is accepting applications to fill a vacancy on the Election Commission. All applicants must be a resident of the City of Brighton for a minimum of two years.

The Election Commission meets as needed by special meetings in the time leading up to an election. Some duties regularly handled at the meetings of the Election Commission include: approving ballots, appointing precinct inspectors, conduct public accuracy testing of voting machines, and affirm precinct changes/consolidations of precincts. The responsibility of the commission is to maintain the highest integrity for City elections.
