City of Muskegon issued the following announcement on Sept.14.

The programs for which these contractors would provide services include, but are not limited to: Community Development Block Grant, HOME Partnership Program, Muskegon County Senior Millage, DTE Program and the Medicaid CHIP Lead Grant. We are looking for local businesses in the areas of: animal control, architecture, appraisal, building, chimney/fireplace, cleaning, deconstruction, demolition, electrical, energy audit, excavating, flooring, foundation work, garage door installation and service, gutters, house building specification writing, insulation, landscaping, lead and asbestos risk assessment/abatement, mechanical, plumbing, roofing, septic/sewer, and structural engineer/surveyor housing specification writer, realtor, vinyl siding supplier, vinyl siding installer and window supplier. We encourage Section 3 contractors and businesses to apply.

All licensed contractors are encouraged to bid. There will be 3 days of walk-throughs at 1192 Pine Street on September 16, 22 and 24 from 9am to 3pm. This property is currently vacant.

Bid packages will be available on-site. Completed bids can be dropped off at Muskegon City Hall, Community and Neighborhood Services Office, 933 Terrace Street, Muskegon, MI. Completed bid packages are due in the Outside Drop Box (west side of building towards US31 BBQ) at Muskegon City Hall on Tuesday, September 29, 2020, by 2 p.m. This will be a sealed bid. Faxed or e-mailed bids will not be accepted. The City of Muskegon reserves the right to reject any or all bids.

Bidding contractors must show proof of the appropriate licenses, liability insurance, worker’s compensation and certifications for their line of work. They must also be prepared to provide references as well.
