City of Muskegon issued the following announcement on Jan 26.

Efforts to create more affordable housing options in the city’s urban neighborhoods continued today with the assembly of a new house at 1141 Jefferson on the corner of Monroe Avenue.

The Community enCompass EACH project plans for three new houses in conjunction with the City of Muskegon as the other two are slated for 180 Houston and 1259 Sanford. The homes are modular in construction, built in northern Indiana and trucked here for assembly.

Using vacant city lots, the more than $500,000 project is funded with federal housing dollars passed through the city and Community enCompass funds. Those interested in the EACH houses should contact Community enCompass, 231-728-3117.
