GRAND RIVER RESURFACING PROJECT

Phase I Beginning Tuesday, August 9

The first phase of the City of Brighton’s Grand River Resurfacing Project is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, August 9.

This underground utility work will be done during the daytime hours and will require various intermittent traffic shifts of both the east/southbound and west/northbound lanes, which will reduce portions of Grand River to be one‐lane only in

each direction.

During this time, the City encourages motorists to seek alternate routes; however, if you do travel on Grand River, you can expect long delays. Access to all side streets and businesses within the construction area will be available. When traveling in this area, please drive carefully for your safety and the safety of other drivers, pedestrians and the construction workers.

We anticipate this phase of the project to be completed in mid‐September. The concrete and paving portion of the project is anticipated to begin thereafter. Another notice will be sent advising when this will be starting.

We encourage everyone to sign up for our text or email updates by visiting www.brightoncity.org/alerts and select “General Alerts”.
