HELP MAKE OAKRIDGE BETTER!

Oakridge Public Schools issued the following announcement on Mar 18.

Excellent school districts have a few essential things in common.  Student, staff, and community engagement is one of them.  While we do surveys annually, every 3-5 years the school board conducts a strategic planning process to identify target goals and strategies for improvement.  These are chosen based on objective data collected internally, perception data that we collect via surveys, and focus group discussions with students, staff, and the community.  It is time to prepare to create Eagle Strategic Plan 3.0.

On March 23 & 24, I am asking the community to consider registering to participate in a focus group.  We want to hear from community members, business/community leaders, and parents.  All participants will meet with a consultant hired by the school board.  Your feedback will remain anonymous.  These focus groups will seek to understand your feelings about what is going well at Oakridge, what we need to improve, and other exploratory conversations based on the input provided.  The focus groups will also serve as a meaningful opportunity for input on the use of our one-time federal stimulus funds which are required to be used to recover from the pandemic.

Please select a time on our website (https://bit.ly/379veRu ) and register to participate.  We desire to elevate your voice to make Oakridge better!

We’re in this together,
Tom Livezey
Superintendent
