Did you receive an estimated electric bill?

Consumers Energy notified us that there is a known issue impacting some of their electric meters, which is causing estimated reads. As part of a planned upgrade, their network provider disabled its 3G cellular signal in January. Due to ongoing supply chain issues throughout the energy industry, they were not able to upgrade all meters before service was turned off.

It is their goal to upgrade all remaining outdated meters this year. In the meantime, meters will be read manually. Some customers will receive estimated bills during the upgrade process. Impacted customers are being communicated to directly by Consumers Energy.
