Meet Greg, MMA Security Guard! Greg’s favorite piece of art here at the MMA is “Yellow Rows” by Winfred Rembert because of the personal connection he had with the artist and the close relationship they formed during his visit to the MMA.
Learning about Winfred’s background during his time in prison, how he learned a trade which led to an art career, this piece became more heartfelt. Before Winfred’s passing, the two grew close. When visitors admired Rembert’s work in the gallery, Greg would call Rembert and let visitors ask questions and speak to him on speaker phone.
