Muskegon, meet BeBot and Pixie Drone — two newest tools to keep the city’s Pere Marquette Park beach and its Lake Michigan waters clean of plastic and other debris. These new technologies are being brought to the Great Lakes in a partnership with retailer Meijer and the Council of Great Lakes Region. Specifically in Muskegon, the robotic units will be operated in conjunction with Grand Valley State University’s local Annis Water Resources Institute.
