Sign up for the fall Hunter Safety Class is filling up fast. Saturday, August 27, 2022, from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. If you have not registered please do so today as the class is limited to 50 students.  As a reminder, if you have your online course completed please email the certificate today.  If you have not taken the online portion yet, now would be a good time to start.

This is a field day only and you have to take the online Hunter safety through the Michigan DNR by August 19 in order to attend the class.

The course will consist of field day activities required by the Michigan DNR with a written test at the end. Successful students will receive a hunter safety certificate after passing the class and passing the test. 

All students will need to be at the Norton Shores Police Department before 8:00 a.m. on the day of field day. You will be bussed to the field location which has no private parking available. Those who are late will not be permitted to take the class. This will be outside, so dress for the weather. 

This course is provided at no cost, however, a $20 fee will be assessed to families who fail to cancel within 14 days of the course start date.
