CITY OF MUSKEGON NOTICE OF PUBLIC ACCURACY TEST OF VOTING EQUIPMENT IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM THE MUSKEGON CITY CLERK’S OFFICE:

TO THE QUALIFIED ELECTORS OF THE CITY OF MUSKEGON, COUNTY OF MUSKEGON, STATE OF MICHIGAN: NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Public Accuracy Test for the May 5, 2020 Election will be a virtual meeting and is scheduled for Thursday, April 30, 2020 at 10:00 a.m.

The City of Muskegon will be having a virtual meeting to conduct the Public Accuracy Test for the electronic equipment that will be used to tabulate the votes. The Public Accuracy Test is conducted to demonstrate that the computer programming used to tabulate the votes cast at the election meets the requirements of Michigan Election Law.

The meeting will be held electronically on the City of Muskegon Government Facebook Page because of signed Executive Order 2020-48 titled “Temporary authorization of remote participation in public meetings and hearings and temporary relief from monthly meeting requirements for school boards.”

Members of the public may view the meeting live on the City of Muskegon Government Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/CityofMuskegon. Members of the public may submit comments to be read aloud by the staff by sending an e-mail (including your full name and address) in advance of the meeting to ann.meisch@shorelinecity.com. During the live meeting, the public may call 231-286-7650 and provide their full name, address, and comments. If the phone keeps ringing or goes to voicemail, please try back. The City of Muskegon will provide necessary reasonable auxiliary aids and services, such as signers for the hearing impaired and audio tapes of printed materials being considered at the meeting, to individuals with disabilities who want to electronically attend the meeting with twenty-four (24) hours notice to the City of Muskegon.
