Join us for a 90-minute walking tour to explore Muskegon’s rich history as well as its exciting present! A historic downtown walking tour during which participants will learn about the past and current uses and occupants of many of Muskegon’s historic businesses and residences. Learn about the McCracken Building, the story of Charles Hackley’s father, what life was like for the Spaniola family running a market on Western Avenue at the turn of the last century, and many more interesting stories about historic downtown Muskegon. Two tour dates are available: a morning tour from 10:00 am-11:30 am and an afternoon tour from 2:00 pm-3:30 pm. Tickets are $15 per person. Two ticket minimum. Groups of 6 or more may contact the museum to schedule an alternate date/time subject to availability. Call 231-724-5543. Tours will start and end at the Lakeshore Museum Center, 430 W. Clay Ave. Weather Policy: This is a rain or shine tour. In case of inclement weather, museum staff will determine whether or not it is safe to proceed. Tickets would be refunded in the case of a museum cancellation.
