City of Muskegon Government issued the following announcement on July 31.
The city will reopen an area of angled parking along Beach Street south of the filtration plant later this week. The area includes approximately 40 parking spaces starting from the northernmost angled parking space heading south. A kiosk will be relocated to the area to facilitate paid parking for these reopened spaces. The walking route from the parking spaces to the beach is hazardous due to the erosion protection measures in place and users are cautioned to enter the area at their own risk.
The adjacent areas to the north and south will remain closed to parking at this time.
