City of Muskegon Government issued the following announcement on Nov. 3.
We issued almost 400 ballots from the Clerk's Office and had over 700 ballots returned! We have issued 10,113 absentee ballots and 9,091 have been returned. We have 1,022 ballots that need to be returned by 8 pm tomorrow night to count. This is a new record breaker so way to go Muskegon!
The polls will open at 7 am until 8 pm on Tuesday. Typically 7 am is the busiest time and again later in the evening. All polling locations will be open. All first time voter registrations must come to City Hall to register to vote and may obtain a ballot there or receive a slip to go to their polling location.
Just a reminder there is no campaigning within 100 feet of the polling location. This goes for shirts, hats, buttons, etc. that state a candidates name, party name, or commonly used campaign slogan.
If any voter experiences voter intimidation of any kind, please call our office at 231-724-6705 or 9-1-1 if you feel physically threatened.
The weather is going to be great and the workers have trained hard and are really excited to see you tomorrow.
We will see you at the polls!
