Mona Shores Public School District issued the following announcement on July 30.
The Following information comes to us from the Muskegon Rescue Mission:
Community Resource Programs are running two days of the week. On Wednesday from 9:30 am to 10:00 am, we offer clothing certificates and household item vouchers. Guests are eligible every three months for the clothing certificates which can be used at any of our three thrift stores. Adults receive $20 certificates and children are given $10 certificates. The clothing certificates are good for one month.
Our household item vouchers are also available on Wednesdays at the same time. To qualify for the vouchers, guests must have either been victims of a house fire or have recently moved to a new residence. With proof of residency (i.e. lease signed within the past thirty days) and identification, guests can receive a voucher for basic household items/furniture that they are in need of. Fire victims receive vouchers for obtaining their needs free of cost. Those who have recently moved receive the vouchers for 50% off the thrift store price of whatever items they are looking to obtain.
