Fruitport Community Schools recently issued the following announcement.

Dear Fruitport families,

As weather alerts came through this afternoon with warnings of significant hail and thunderstorms our dismissal was impacted. We held students in the safety of our buildings until the hail threat was over.  

We then loaded our high school and middle school students to go home. This created about a 20 minute backup of time for our elementary bus run.  

I apologize for the inconvenience this caused everyone. However, our goal is to keep everyone safe.
