Holton Township recently issued the following announcement.
A Holton Township resident informed me they were stopped by the County Sheriff’s office and were told they could not use the golf cart on the road. We assume they are referring to ATV’s as well. I have called our township attorney on this issue. Until this is resolved, please stay off the roads. You will be riding at your own risk. Even if we have to pass a new ordinance, I am hopeful that by Spring we will have it resolved. As far as I know the ordinance we passed was legal, but we are awaiting our attorney’s advice.
