Holton Township recently issued the following announcement.
Muskegon County voters authorized passage of a county millage for programs and services for older adults. Holton Township will be using our share of these funds to provide snow plowing services for those who are 60 years of age or older.
The program is designed to help seniors who are on a fixed income, so please be considerate of this fact when signing up for this service as our plowing contractor can only handle around 20 driveways. If we have more than 20 sign up, a lottery will be held.
Please note, because of the Township’s limited budget, the plowing will end when the funds are depleted.
This will be just a basic snow plow when accumulation is 2-3 inches. If extra snow plowing is desired, owners or renters must work out their own arrangement and payment schedule with the snow plow provider.
You may sign up for this service at the Holton Township Hall to present proof of age and address by October 18, 2021 at 6511 Holton Whitehall Road, Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The Township will not be held responsible for any damages resulting from the plowing of snow.
