City of Muskegon issued the following announcement on Oct 23.
Small Business Saturday: At 934 Second in Downtown Muskegon, you might say it’s a guy place. But not exclusively, said Emily Prow, owner of The Crue – a barbershop and hair salon that has brought a different vibe to the city. A blend of old-school and cutting-edge hair fashion, The Crue is about quality service and an easy, laid-back, comfortable environment. Hair services include haircuts, shaves, beard trims, waxing, texturing and coloring. It’s a place men can go and be comfortable with all kinds of hair treatments, Emily said of a shop that has 80 percent male clients. The Crue struggled through COVID-19 restrictions but has come out of 2020 flourishing, the owner said. With four barber chairs, three hair professionals and an apprentice, The Crue is open Tuesday-Saturday mainly 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. You better get an appointment through its website at www.cruehair.com or by calling 231-220-9303 because even though walk-ins are welcome, the shop is usually booked a week out.
