Grant

City of North Muskegon issued the following announcement on Jan 7.

City Council and staff are excited to announce that the City of North Muskegon received notification that $800,000 in park development grants were recommended by Governor Gretchen Whitmer, the Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund Board, and Michigan Department of Natural Resources staff.

The grant funds will assist the City in the development of the baseball/softball complex, with an accessible hunting blind near Bear Creek (during the off-season) at the corner of Russell/Holton Rds. and for the development of a high school soccer field and multi-purpose sports field behind the North Muskegon “Fred Jacks” football stadium.

These awards were only possible with the vision and support from Senator Jon Bumstead, State Representative Terry J. Sabo, North Muskegon Public Schools, and our residents and stakeholders of North Muskegon.

Thank you!
