North Muskegon Public Schools issued the following announcement on Dec 18.

Hello Norse Nation!

This communication is being sent to wish everyone a peaceful, fun, and healthy Holiday Season!  We all deserve a little break – it has been a bit overwhelming for all of us…  Please take time to relax, unplug, and enjoy those that you love!

When we return after break, all current health related mitigation strategies will remain in place until our Community Transmission Level decreases.  Our goal with implementing these strategies was to keep our kids in school learning with our incredible staff each and every day.  We have succeeded in this effort!  We should all be very proud that our district has not lost hundreds upon hundreds of student school days through quarantining efforts due to close contact.  We have kept our Norsemen in school – thank you for supporting this effort and doing your part!

As we approach the end of 2021, I want everyone to know how proud I am to be your Superintendent and I will continue to work every day to provide our community the best services we can possibly offer.  We are so fortunate to be Norsemen!

Enjoy the holidays!  Take care of each other and yourself!

In peace,
Dr. Babcock
Superintendent
