North Muskegon Public Schools issued the following announcement on Mar 17.

Hello Norsemen!

There are so many recent trends with teens that are positive and amazing such as increased environmental awareness, action leadership, overall increased awareness and empathy – just to name a few. There are other trends or technology tools that we can all agree add layers of complexity to being a teen.

We need your help with a relatively new TikTok challenge that involves splat guns that shoot water beads called Orbeez. Here (https://www.cbs46.com/…/sandy-springs-police-warning…/) is a quick article for reference. Please talk with your student and discuss the dangers of this activity. Maintaining a safe school environment is important to us. Please make sure your student knows that a gun, even a toy gun, should never be on school campus. We want our students to be safe at all times and this challenge also creates potentially dangerous situations off campus within the community.   Please talk with your student about the dangers.

Thank you for your continued partnership!
